Lessons from Learning Disabilities Mortality Review (LeDeR)

Lessons from Learning Disabilities Mortality Review (LeDeR)
Pauline Heslop Professor of Intellectual Disabilities Research University of Bristol

The Learning Disabilities Mortality Review (LeDeR) Programme aims to make improvements to the lives of people with learning disabilities. It clarifies any potentially modifiable factors associated with a person’s death, and works to ensure that these are not repeated elsewhere.

Pauline Heslop is the programme lead for the Learning Disabilities Mortality Review (LeDeR) programme. She will provide an overview about what we currently know about the deaths of children with learning disabilities, and how the LeDeR programme will interface with the new Child Death Review Process so that our knowledge about the deaths of children with learning disabilities can be improved.
